Aquatic Center

The Sacramento State Aquatic Center has provided high quality boating and safety programs through education, recreation, and competition for more than 25 years.

Boating activities include Water Ski and Wake Board, Rowing, Kayaking and Canoeing, Sailing and Windsurfing, PWC- "Jet Skiing" and Boating Education. In addition, the facility is available to the community for meetings, parties and corporate events. Meeting Rooms are available for a variety of functions such as Staff Training, Company Work Meeting, Retirement Parties, School or Class Reunions and Banquets.

Each year, many groups receive personal instruction from the Aquatic Center staff in a variety of boating activities. These include company picnics, corporate team building seminars, technique clinics, youth groups and school field trips to name a few. A special use agreement can be arranged to suit the individual needs of the groups who would like to plan a special activity at our facility. The Aquatic Center is a multi-use facility and does not provide exclusive use. Lifeguards and Dock Masters are available.

Throughout the year the Center sponsors a number of community-oriented special events including Community Clean-Up Day, Head of the American, Sac State Adventure Race, WIRA Championships, Gold Rush Masters Regatta, PCRC/Pac-10 Championships, SW Junior Championships, An opportunity to Thrive, SW Masters Regatta, Day at the Lake, Collegiate Water Ski Nationals, Sac State Water Ski Reunion, Salmon 5K Run/Walk.

The Sacramento State Aquatic Center is a program of Associated Students, Inc., and is supported by The University Union of Sacramento State university.
Sacramento State Classes offered include:
Beginning Sailing, Intermediate Sailing, Basic Windsurfing, Water Skiing, Basic Olympic Rowing and Recreation Waterfront Management .
